Vanadium Nitrogen

Vanadium Nitrogen

Vanadium-nitrogen alloys can be used in structural steel, tool steel, pipe steel, reinforcing steel and cast iron. Vanadium-nitrogen alloys used in high-strength low-alloy steels can effectively perform vanadium and nitrogen micro-alloying at the same time, promote the precipitation of carbon, vanadium, and nitrogen compounds in the steel, and play a more effective role in precipitation strengthening and grain refinement.

Vanadium-nitrogen alloy instead of vanadium-iron for vanadium alloying can significantly improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of steel such as strength, toughness, ductility and thermal fatigue resistance, and make the steel have good weldability. At the same strength, the amount of alloy added can be reduced, and the amount of vanadium added can be saved by 30-40%, thereby reducing the alloying cost. Therefore, many steel companies in China have already used vanadium-nitrogen alloys to produce high-strength steel bars. Related products developed using vanadium-nitrogen alloy technology have excellent quality and stability, low alloy cost, and significant economic benefits, which have promoted the upgrading of steel products.

Advantages:

1. It has more effective strengthening and grain refining effect than vanadium iron.

2. Save the amount of vanadium added. Under the same strength conditions, vanadium-nitrogen alloy can save 20-40% vanadium compared to ferro-vanadium.

3. The yield of vanadium and nitrogen is stable, reducing the fluctuation of the performance of steel.

4. Easy to use and less loss.
